The food here is really good. Order the beef nachos and be ready to be blown away with the flavor of the beef which I'm sure was charred in bacon grease or something! Haha! But it tasted really good!

All the food we have gotten here was full of flavor, but the location makes this spot not a popular one and you have to know it is just there. Too bad they don't get more foot traffic here.

I was in town for business, and stumbled across this gem of a restaurant. The staff was pleasant and friendly. I ordered my food to go, but ordered a beer while I waited the bartender was sweet and made conversation while I waited. It was a pleasant enough visit that I ended up eating their for dinner the rest of the week.

My first time here, we had the chunky guacamole, so fresh! The best I've had. I then ordered the enchiladas, rice and beans from the lunch menu. Seriously amazing food! Definitely recommend !!

Their food has good flavor to it. I've only gotten their lunch special #7 but it tastes really good. I love family businesses as well bc of the authenticity.

Customer service was great, very friendly, bilingual staff. They were attentive and prompt.
The food was great! It was perfectly seasoned and portions were good.
We went for lunch, and it was pretty empty, but we always enjoy that :).
It's located near the Dollar tree. They have outdoor, patio seating, which would be great in the fall!

Very good! Salsa, chips, cheese dip, chicken enchiladas, and steak fajitas. All were good. This place is a little tucked away in the shopping center, so glad we found it. They also have an awesome patio, it's separate from the parking lot, which is nice. Service was also nice, our waitress was very friendly and kind.

Excellent food fast and friendly service will be back for sure

This is the best kept secret in Georgia! They serve the absolutely best Mexican food that there is. Everything from the Homemade salsa and chips to the delicious dishes like Camarones a la diablo or fajitas, and of course the morcajetes...all are the best! I have been there 5 or 6 times and never been disappointed. And by the way, the service is great too!

Good food and nice staff. Convenient to my house. My first choice for Mexican food in my area.

Really enjoyed my food. Authentic and great portions. Service was pleasant and prompt. I ordered the Flautus (grilled chicken stuffed, rolled and fried corn tortillas- see pic of menu for details) and my guy ordered the Sabores Grilled Burrito. I ate so fast that I forgot to get a picture. :) I recommend it!

This place is the best secret in town. Have eaten there a dozen times or so and every time was great. The chunky guacamole was incredible. Go ahead and order the large or you will end up ordering two smalls. The Texas fajitas are remarkable. The seafood burrito was a must. Even the plain cheese nachos are the best around. You have to try this place. It's hidden the corner of a shopping center down from Walmart. Seek it out you won't be sorry.
I swear I am a legitimate customer. Not friends of the owners or associated in any way other than the great food.
I did find out the new owners have been there about three months. Although sometimes a little short handed, service is pretty good.
Get some butts in those seats. I need my great Mexican food.

Only ones here, but unsure how! Food was fantastic, and wait staff was attentive. Prices were good. Queso dip is very smooth. Gave us fresh hot chips and salsa to take home too! Will come back soon!

We will be back. Good food, reasonable prices. Wife enjoyed the pomegranete margarita. Only drawback was the waitress kept trying to up sell. Definitely glad we found it.

I hardly ever leave reviews but it was such a wonderful experience and then we found out its only been open 3 months! It's better than restaurants that have been open for 30! Great service, great food, and a great time. And they even had TV's to watch football at the bar! They even had live music for Friday night! We will for sure be back!

  • *****

Great, fresh food! Maria and family were so nice and the food authentic! Finally, good margaritas! It's in the Cormier near Walgreens!

  • *****

If I had three thumbs I would give it three thumbs up. If you like authentic Mexican food this is the place to be. Put that together with the friendly service and atmosphere you have a great dinning experience. Highly recommend.

Service and food is very good. Kids eat free on Sunday. This is our new favorite Mexican place.

  • *****

We go twice a week. Never disappointed. Fresh Mexican food. Salsa is really good. Nice people there too.

  • *****

Amazing meal. We ordered the camerones ala diabla and chili rellones. The food was excellent. We came to Atlanta for a visit, and I was looking for something close to our hotel. I'm glad I found this place. My husband travels a lot, and he says these are the best chili rellones he's ever had. We would definitely come back.

  • *****

New restaurant in area. We are very impressed with service and freshness of food. Prices cannot be beat 99 cent taco lunch specials. $3.50 Margaritas at dinner! Highly recommend and no waits. Hope they do very well!

Sabores hits the spot when you're looking for classic, tasty Mexican. Fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas, etc. The salsa is super fresh and they bring it to you in a giant pitcher... PERFECTION. The carnitas tacos in particular are excellent. Is it fine dining? Will it compete with Canoe? Well, no. But is it our favorite neighborhood spot to kick back for some margaritas, tacos, and endless chips and salsa? YES PLEASE. The service is fast and friendly, and the chips are refilled generously. We have a great time every time! Love it!

I found this restaurant a few months ago and I am glad I did. I have eaten there about 5 times now and each visit has been great! A Great lunch menu and prices are right. The food is excellent - Mexican with a flavor that is beyond the average fare.. The employees are nice, and so is the manager, Maria. Give it a try!

  • *****

Sure beats Frontera. The beaf is superior and the to tortillas fresh. Pleasant waitress and service .

  • *****

I love this place ! Food is home-made and fresh. They got specials every day even on Fridays so you can always find a good value for lunch or dinner. Drinks are so good you would never go wrong with a margarita here. Service is always good is like a big family.

  • *****

Great food and service. Maria the owner was very nice and accommodating. This is my new go to spot!!!

  • *****

Not many people inside. I believe the place just opened about 3 weeks ago. Our waitress Emily was new and really sweet. She was super helpful and very attentive.
The food arrived quickly and was fresh, hot and full of flavor. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Our table had chicken fajitas for 2 (19.99) and the veggie #1 along with a kids meal. Kids eat free on Sunday with a paying adult. Emily forgot but corrected it quickly. The salsa was minimal chunky and it comes in its own little pitcher which is unique. We will definitely return. They didn't have a to-go menu so I took pictures of it just in case.

Fantastic food. VERY fresh. Tacos are flavorful. Spinach enchiladas are awesome. The have a great veggie menu. Well worth it.

The Yelp map had this located at the Racetrac on Lawrenceville-Suwanee. Google Map correctly placed it in a strip plaza beyond Walmart. I hope Yelp gets this fixed. FYI, Health Dept. gives Sabores a 100!

I like that the chips come with a large carafe of salsa and individual bowls, but it is disconcerting to see the condensation on the outside of the refrigerated carafe pour into the bowl along with the salsa. Salsa looks very red and fresh. We were offered a refill of chips, which are not as thin and tasty as La Parilla's. Pollo Tropical was very good and tender. Chiles Poblano was good and moist, perhaps a bit too moist.. The food, as well as the salsa, was not at all spicy, but Cholula is available to perk things up. Good Margaritas. Good service.

Amazing food, service and lots of fun!
Maria, the owner, was a fabulous host to my family and friends. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food with a comfortable & warm family environment, this is the place to come! :)

My fav Mexican restaurant! The location is super convenient. The food is delicious. The ambience is authentic, with plenty of room, and a full bar. The manager, Maria, is super accommodating with any requests! Five stars all around!

  • *****

The food was fantastic. Really need to get more people in here so they stay open! We've been several times and have no complaints.

This restaurant is a nice hidden gem. The food and service was excellent. Very vegan and vegetarian friendly too! Im a huge fan of supporting small businesses and I'm sure there are plenty of others out that that do too so come on down to Sabores Mexico Bar & Grill and have lunch with me! :D

  • *****

I go to see Maria for lunch all the time, best tacos in the state!, Best margaritas I've ever had! Maria knows how to mix a drink!, Don't be afraid to try a new restaurant, my Best little secret can be yours as well!

Ambience is modest; friend had a fajita steak quesadilla; peppers, onions and steak were grilled and delicious. I had a ground beef crunchy taco that was tasty then an enchilada combo with chicken, beef and cheese enchiladas. They were great! The chips and salsa were fresh and salsa had a nice kick. Got some queso and again well delivered like everything else. Very slow on a Monday night. This place delivered great food at very good value and service was fast!

Thanks to yelp, we're finding all kinds of great places to eat around our new home.
    This place did not disappoint!
Great salsa in a mini pitcher was a nice touch.
The food took a while to come out even though they were pretty slow but once it did come out, we knew why we had to wait. This wasn't the typical "thrown together" Mexican food. The food tasted so fresh, like everything was made from scratch for us. The plate presentation was wonderful.
I had the enchiladas with shrimp and tilapia and they were excellent. My daughter loved her bowl of chicken tortilla soup and my wife said her spinach enchiladas were very good.
The folks all were very friendly and thankful for our business-the kind of business I like to support.
Please support this fantastic restaurant. They're a bit hidden behind the Walmart but worth finding.

My family and I went to Sabores after a failed attempt at going to Tacos and Tequila on Cinco de Mayo. We were pretty nervous about going with a group of 8, especially on probably the busiest day of the year and after consulting Yelp we decided to go here. It's tucked in the back corner in Suwanne, in the same strip mall as the Walmart and Wild Wings.
Once inside, we waited for about 30 minutes before being seated, and another 10 minutes until we recived the chips and salsa. The salsa was fresh and tasted homemade (unlike some Mexican restaurants that I've been to) and had much more of a kick than we were expecting.
Since it was such a busy night, we had to flag down the bartender to order and we ended up ordering everything through him. He was really great, which partially made up for the fact that we had to flag the bartended to get any type of service.

We ordered two orders a guacamole and got it chunky style. I'm not the biggest guacamole fan, but I was very very impressed.... creamy, but still chunky pieces of avocado, with fresh tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. We also ordered the cheese dip, which was pretty standard.
We also got pitchers of Dos Equis and their house Texan style margarita, which was sweeter than normal (I think it has orange juice) but still delicious.

For dinner, I got the Chicken Milanese because I wasn't particularly feeling tacos. The chicken was lightly breaded and pan fried with a yummy Chipotle sauce on top. It wasn't overly fried or breaded, which I appreciated. It comes with fries, avocado salad (which is just guacamole) beans and some pico de gallo. The chicken was a large portion so I didn't have much of the sides, but they seemed pretty standard fare. Everyone else at my table got different entrees, and were all impressed with the good food.

Overall, I would say that this is a 4/5 star spot.. with the exception of the service. Luckily the bar tender was very helpful, but we had to keep flagging people down for help. Hopefully it was just because it was extremely busy for Cinco de Mayo.

A group of us went to Sabores on a late Sunday afternoon.. The weather was so perfect and we were in search of someplace new to drink a few margaritas on a patio. We should have come earlier as the sun on the patio was disappearing but next time we will know better and get there earlier. We tried the House Margaritas and the Texas Margaritas. I would skip the house and go straight for the Texas Margaritas. As one of my friends said the House tasted like Mexican Lemonade.

I can't comment to much on the food because we only had drinks and the Queso with Ground Beef. The Queso was really good and I thought that the chips and salsa were good as well. The service was great. Our waitress was Magdalena. She took great care of us. Our drinks were always full and she kept refilling the chips and salsa. Maria the owner came to talk to us and made sure we had everything that we needed and even bought us a round of drinks. How's that for ending your weekend on a great note.

We will be back for Dinner soon!!

Gluten free!!!!! Made easy in the burbs. Wow. Maria Maria Maria. Thank God for you in the suburbs. On the way to a wedding I called ahead and she said to ask for her. Everything is easily gluten free because it is all made to order and fresh.

Just amazing food. I think it's a new place because it was about 30% full. Not for long! Great service. They have $5 titos! I mean you can't go wrong.

I should take more Uber's from buckhead to here. Thank you so much for making gluten free easy for us.

Heads up. Salsas are all super authentic. Even the regular salsa is super flavorful. Most Mexican places water down their salsa. Not here. Also enjoyed the salsa verde.

Went on a Saturday night with a party of seven and we were literally the only people there. This made us nervous but hey, we're here so let's eat. The service was really good and overall the food was a good quality as well. Pretty standard for Mexican food in the Atlanta area. They have a couple of dishes that are unique to the location and that were pretty good. Hopefully business will pick up for them.

  • *****

We came in around 3pm on a Saturday so there was only us and one other couple but the service was excellent! Very friendly and attentive and gave us coupons to come back. The margaritas were excellent (fresh ingredients and strong). The cheese dip had fresh cut jalapeos in it (not canned) and the food (chicken chimichanga) was good. We will be back!

This place is so far back you would never know it was there. My son wanted to try a new place and since WalMart was our final destination, we cruised through the strip mall for a quick dinner. The place was empty with just two other tables. I was skeptical cuz it looked so dead. We had a wonderful server and they even hav a kids menu. My sons r age 4 and 7. One for the kids burrito steak smothered in cheese sauce, the other got the cheese pizza. I went with the steak rancheros with flour tortillas. They start you with chips and salsa with individual bowls for ur salsa. My steak came out sizzling hot on a bed of peppers and onions and covered in cheese and some kind of sauce. It came with a side of refres beans and rice, guacamole, lettuce sour cream and tomatoes. It was so good and I ended up having enough to take home for a good snack. My oldest loves his burrito and dipping his fries in the cheese sauce, the youngest devoured his pizza. The atmosphere was really relaxed and I'd love to return for date night and enjoy some cocktails.

Thanks & congrats to Sabores Mexican Restaurant in Suwanee for partnering with us to raise money for Angels Among Us Pet Rescue by hosting a charity candy machine. They have a great bar and a spacious dining area. Be sure to try their $1.99 daily margaritas. Stop in & tell them thank you for helping save cats and dogs.

This place is amazing, my favorite Mexican restaurant!! Great service and great food! The employees knew me after my first visit and remembered my order, as you can tell I'm a regular. It's pretty impressive!

My sisters and I came in for a semi-late dinner after work. It wasn't too busy and the service was prompt. We were immediately seated and chips and salsa were brought out (each person got their own sauce bowl so we didn't have to share dipping bowl which is nice for anyone who is wary of double dipping etc.).

Our server was super friendly and always asked how everything was. Water refills was prompt. We were literally never left without a full cup of water. Our server was slightly forgetful on a few small things, but was prompt to fix anything.

The food is your typical Mexican cuisine. Cooked well and it was delicious!

  • *****

Fantastic menu if authentic Mexican dishes. Staff fully bi lingual in Spanish and English. Perfectly seasoned, beef cooked to temperature, fresh produce... what a great new little place! Hope it lasts longer than the last one here!

Jan. 2018 Update: Under new management, this restaurant is still great! The new owners have made some cosmetic changes (colorful paint, etc), and the food is even better!

2017-Great Mexican! Nice atmosphere! Convenient location! Prompt service! Need I say more?!
